Karen Mahon leads the nursery class and along with volunteers from the Youth Groups supervises the Nursery during Worship.

Church School
for Everyone!

Come! Learn! Please take advantage of these splendid opportunities to learn more about God and to grow in faithfulness. The Church School theme is Psalm 122:1; “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the House of the Lord.’” Please gather in the Marion Lawrance Room.

Primary Grades

Children Pre-K to 2nd grade meet in Room 8 with Shaibu Alpha.

3rd and 4th grades meet with Dennie Stahlsmith

Upper Elementary Grades

Fifth and sixth graders meet in Room 7.

United Methodist Youth Fellowship

The UMYF is Hurlbut's Confirmation experience for seventh and eighth graders. The theme this year is Love! No Lines. No Limits. The UMYF meets in newly remodeled Room 3 with Anne Marshaus, and Matt Trusso, Advisors.

Hurlbut Youth Group

The HYG meets in the newly remodeled Room 1 with Advisors Emilie Gifford and Bill Ward. All youth in ninth through twelfth Grades are welcome.

 


Life Lessons

All Hurlbut friends are welcome every Sunday morning at 9:30, to get together to share in informal 'Life Lessons'. Join us each week or any week upstairs in Room 9. Bring a Bible and a friend!

The God on Continuing Creation

The Adult Bible Study meets in the Parlor off Truesdale Hall on the street level. Fellowship and coffee is 9:30-9:45 and seeking God's word from 9:45-10:30. Led by Marcie Larson, discussion is based on a simple booklet and is facilitated by members of the class. The group is currently studying Handel’s Messiah. Visitors are always welcome.

Worship

Child care during worship is available for all children through first grade. Families are encouraged to begin worship together. After the Children's Moments children through first grade may sit with their families or may go to the Nursery. The Scriptures used in worship are taken from the Common Lectionary. The indoor and outdoor banners are displayed to highlight seasons in the Christian year.

Please come down to Truesdale Hall where a warm welcome waits you. The Hurlbut Youth Group serves a delicious soup and muffin luncheon the first Sunday of every month.
